CBSA officers once again find suspected cocaine at the Toronto Pearson International Airport

News Release

The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) announced today the seizure of over 7.5 kg of suspected cocaine at the Toronto Pearson International Airport.

On December 10, 2016, CBSA officers monitoring the offload of luggage on a flight from the Dominican Republic noticed an unclaimed suitcase. The suitcase was examined by officers and found to contain a backpack with six brick-shaped bundles. The contents of the bundles were subsequently field tested and tested positive for suspected cocaine.

The suspected cocaine was turned over to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.
