CBSA seizes methamphetamine and heroin
News release

April 30, 2018 Mississauga, Ontario Canada Border Services Agency
The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) announced today a significant seizure of methamphetamine and heroin at the Toronto Pearson International Airport.
On Tuesday April 17, 2018, during a routine examination of luggage on a flight from Mexico, CBSA border services officers (BSO) observed anomalies on three suitcases. The suitcases were sent for a secondary inspection. Once opened, BSOs found, in each suitcase, black nylon gym bags containing clear and taped bags of methamphetamine and heroin. This inspection resulted in a seizure of 100 kg of methamphetamine and 4 kg of heroin.
The narcotics were turned over to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP).
