Winnipeg Airports Authority and the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) are pleased to announce that Primary Inspection Kiosks and the eDeclaration mobile application are available at the Winnipeg Richardson International Airport. Primary Inspection Kiosks are next generation technology that offer self-service options for international air travellers arriving in Canada at Winnipeg Richardson.

The new Primary Inspection Kiosks allow travellers to scan their travel documents, have their photo taken and complete an on-screen declaration. Upon completion, travellers will take their kiosk receipt to a CBSA officer. Those looking to save more time at the kiosk can download the CanBorder – eDeclaration mobile app prior to their arrival, whether returning or coming to Canada, and prepare their declaration in advance. The app will give them a quick response (QR) code to scan at a kiosk upon arrival.

The 16 Primary Inspection Kiosks at Winnipeg Richardson strengthen border security and simplify the border experience. Winnipeg Richardson is the ninth Canadian airport to launch the Primary Inspection Kiosks technology since March 2017.
