Grand opening - Sault Ste. Marie port of entry

Media advisory

The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) and the Federal Bridge Corporation Limited (FBCL) invite the media to attend an event marking the official opening of the Sault Ste. Marie port of entry (POE).

Terry Sheehan, Member of Parliament for Sault Ste. Marie on behalf of the Honourable Ralph Goodale, Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness, Micheline Dubé, President and Chief Executive Officer of The Federal Bridge Corporation Limited and Denis Vinette, Associate Vice-President of Operations for the Canada Border Services Agency will be delivering opening remarks followed by a ribbon-cutting ceremony and photo opportunity. Tours of the facility will also be provided upon request.

Directions: From the Trans-Canada Highway, head west on Second Line/E-550 W. Turn left onto North Street, right onto Cathcart Street, and left onto Huron St. From the US, take US Highway #75 to Canada. See the attached parking instructions upon arrival at the POE.

Media are reminded to arrive no later than 12:30 p.m. to register/set-up and to have credentials and photo identification. Photography and videography will be restricted to specific areas only.
