Explore – Second Language Program
Explore is a federally funded language immersion program that provides opportunities for students to learn or improve their French or English while experiencing life in another part of Canada.
For participants 16 years and older, Explore sessions are offered during the spring or summer and last between 31 and 33 days. For 13- to 15-year-olds, three-week summer sessions are available. Some virtual Explore sessions are offered for those who are unable to participate in person.
Each Explore participant receives funding to cover key program costs: $4,000 for each participant 16 years and older, and $2,800 for each participant 13 to 15 years old. This funding covers the costs of tuition, instructional materials, meals, and lodging.
