Minister Miller to participate in two historic events with the Gwa'sala-'Nakwaxda'xw Nations that advance reconciliation and treaty negotiations

Ottawa, Ontario – Please be advised that the Honourable Marc Miller, Minister of Crown–Indigenous Relations, and Gwa'sala-'Nakwaxda'xw Nation leaders will break ground at the historic site of the Gwa'sala-'Nakwaxda'xw Nations' Gukwdzi (Bighouse).

Following that, Chief Terry Walkus and hereditary Chiefs of the Gwa'sala-'Nakwaxda'xw Nations; the Honourable Marc Miller, Minister of Crown–Indigenous Relations; and Michele Babchuk, Member of the Legislative Assembly for North Island, on behalf of the Honourable Murray Rankin, BC's Minister of Indigenous Relations and Reconciliation, are to sign a new agreement that will further advance reconciliation and treaty negotiations.
