Note: All the development indicators are measured as a % of the relevant population, except for the following: 1) life expectancy at birth is in total years, 2) mortality rates (both infant and under 5) are per 1,000 live births, 3) Gender Parity Indices measure enrollments of girls as a percentage of boys enrolled in school.

In 2015 the life expectancy at birth world-wide was 71.7 years. In IDA countries, the life expectancy at birth was only 62.8 years. While world-wide, 90.1 percent of students enrolled in primary schools in 2015 completed primary education, in IDA countries the figure is only 73.9 percent.

The data and its representation in Figure 5 give regional distribution of project outcomes as a percentage of total number of projects completed between 2013 and 2016. Thus, for example, 72.6 percent of all projects completed in the IDA countries had ratings of ''moderately satisfactory or better (MS+)'' project outcomes. However, only 34.3 percent of all IDA projects completed had ratings of MS+ with moderate or low risk to development outcome. In the Middle East and North Africa region, only 38.9 percent of completed projects had MS+ outcome ratings. However, none of the projects that completed with MS+ ratings, had ratings of moderate or low RDO.
