The evaluation will examine activities related to the Department's challenge function role. ^c Part of this amount is included in the planned spending for Sub-Program 1.2.3 in 2017–18. ^d This is a placeholder should the need arise for an evaluation. The Treasury Evaluation Program evaluates programs and frameworks in the domain of federal debt and treasury management. Any evaluations that are undertaken are based on needs identified and vetted through two committees: the Treasury Evaluation Working Group, and the Funds Management Committee. ^e This amount is included in the planned spending for 2017–18. ^f This evaluation will examine departmental strategies and practices associated with talent management. The evaluation will not cover any direct spending. ^g This amount, excluding spending of $38.88 million on Internal Services, is included in planned spending for 2017–18 and 2018–19. ^h This horizontal evaluation of Canada's Anti-Money Laundering and Anti-Terrorist Financing Regime is led by the Department of Finance Canada and will cover activities of all federal partner organizations. ⁱ This amount is included in the planned spending for Program 1.1 in 2018–19. ^j This horizontal evaluation will examine certain key activities related to the Department's policy function. ^k This amount is included in the planned spending for 2018–19. ^l Evaluations of the department's policy and challenge functions, in addition to the evaluations of treasury programs, and also the evaluation of Payments to the International Development Association, will cover total planned organizational spending, including all statutory payments, for 2017–18.
