Minister of Finance to Provide Economic and Fiscal Update

Minister of Finance Bill Morneau will hold a press conference to deliver the Economic and Fiscal Update on Monday, December 16, 2019.

The Department of Finance Canada will be holding a media lock-up prior to the press conference. The embargo will be lifted at approximately 10:45 a.m. when the press conference begins.

Embargo Procedures

Media will be asked to sign an undertaking to respect the embargo prior to being allowed entry into the room. They will be asked to hand in their mobile phones and other communication devices and will not be allowed to leave, or communicate with anyone outside the lock-up, at any time prior to the announcement of the lifting of the embargo inside the lock-up.

Wi-Fi will be available in the lock-up once the embargo is lifted at around 10:45 a.m., when the press conference begins.
