Biographical Notes – David Dominy

Mr. David Dominy has over 25 years of CEO experience, most recently with Canada’s largest domestically-owned Money Services Business, FIRMA Foreign Exchange Corporation, from 2014 to 2022. He is an expert in financial management and analysis, risk management and strategic planning with a proven track record of attracting and leading exceptional leadership talent. Since 2003, he has also provided investment and advisory services as president of 3D Capital Inc.

Mr. Dominy has extensive experience in board governance, having chaired boards and committees in a range of public, private, Crown, and not-for-profit organizations, including representing FIRMA Foreign Exchange on the Bank of Canada’s Retail Payments Advisory Committee and Crypto Currency round tables. He served as a director of the Canada Deposit Insurance Corporation from 2018 to 2022, where he chaired the Governance Committee from 2018 to 2021 and the Risk Committee in 2021 and 2022.

He holds a Masters of Management in finance and accounting from the J.L. Kellogg School of Management, a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from the University of Winnipeg, and holds the ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors.
