Biographical Notes – Kevin Darling

Backgrounder

Mr. Kevin Darling is a self-employed consultant based in Quispamsis, New Brunswick, with a focus on working with companies to help them with governance, strategic growth, and financial issues. This has included working with an international financial institution to provide coaching and development for their senior management.

Until late 2019, Mr. Darling worked for the RBC Financial Group where he held the positions of Vice President of Business Banking in the Northern Caribbean, Managing Director of Business Banking in Barbados and the Eastern Caribbean, Vice President of Commercial Banking in North-Eastern New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island, Regional Director of Public Sector in Ontario (East and North), Manager of Federal Government and Corporate Banking, and Senior Relationship Manager of Global Financial Institutions.

Mr. Darling has been a volunteer and board member for a number of charities, including the Ronald McDonald House (Atlantic), the Capital Integral Charitable Foundation (Ottawa), the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Junior Achievement, and Crossroads for Women.

In addition, he is currently a Board Member with the Kennebecasis Regional Police Board of Commissioners, the New Brunswick Municipal Employees Pension Plan, the Economic and Social Inclusion Corporation (New Brunswick), and the Canadian Association of Police Governance. In 2022, Mr. Darling was the recipient of Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee Medal for his work with the Kennebecasis Regional Police Board of Commissioners.

Mr. Darling holds a Certified Treasury Professional designation through the Association for Financial Professionals, a Fellowship of the Institute of Canadian Bankers, and an Associate of the Institute of Canadian Bankers.
