Federal-Provincial-Territorial Finance Ministers to discuss the Canada Pension Plan

Today, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, the Honourable Chrystia Freeland, announced that she will convene a special virtual meeting of provincial and territorial Finance Ministers on Friday November 3, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. ET.
The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the Canada Pension Plan (CPP) and Alberta’s proposal to withdraw from the CPP. The meeting is closed to media.
The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance will be available to media after the meeting concludes. Further details will follow later this week.
