Biographical Notes – Gina Byrne

Ms. Byrne has held progressively senior roles at the Canada Deposit Insurance Corporation since 2007, serving this year as Chief Operating Officer. From 2019 to 2025 Ms. Byrne was CDIC’s Vice President, Member Risk & Resolution, and prior to that held several manager and managing director roles.

From 2001 to 2007 Ms. Byrne held accountant and auditor positions at KPMG and MD Management.

Ms. Byrne holds an Honours Bachelor of Science degree from Wilfrid Laurier University and a Master of Business Administration degree from Dalhousie University. Ms. Byrne is also a Chartered Accountant.
