Biographical Notes – Marjolaine Giasson
Backgrounder
Ms. Marjolaine Giasson is Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer at La Maison Simons Inc., a Canadian fashion retail destination. Since joining the company in 2021, she has played a key role in driving its next phase of growth and modernizing its financial operations.
Ms. Giasson brings over twenty-five years of experience in management, finance and governance, including roles at the Montreal offices of Andersen, PrincewaterhouseCoopers, and Molson Coors. Over the course of her career, she has also held management positions in various innovative, fast-growing, or transforming companies, including serving as Chief Financial Officer at Optosécurité, Innoventé, and Flyscan Systems and Prémoulé.
She has been a board member of Aéroport de Québec Inc. since 2019, where she currently chairs of the audit committee. She also serves as chair of the audit committee of INO, Canada’s largest center of expertise in optics and photonics. From 2018 to 2021, she chaired the audit committee of Sovar Inc, a development, intellectual property management and innovation transfer organization for Eastern Quebec institutions.
Native from Quebec City (Province of Quebec), Ms. Giasson completed a Bachelor of Business Administration and MBA from Laval University, where she was the recipient of the Hermès Award. In 2021, she completed her corporate governance training at the Collège des administrateurs de sociétés at Laval University. She is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA).
