RPOU(W) celebrates successful Operation Holiday Hamper

February 19, 2025 - Capt Kyle Ho, Program Officer, Real Property Operations Unit (West)

In a remarkable display of generosity and community spirit, Real Property Operations Unit (West) (RPOU(W)), led by Administration Officer Kendra Cooper and Adjutant Lieutenant Rebecka Westling, spearheaded the 2024 Operation Holiday Hamper in collaboration with the Edmonton Garrison Base Chapels.

This year, the unit raised an impressive $2,000 to sponsor a family of four, providing them with hoodies, toques, a camera, a speaker, hockey cards, and grocery and restaurant gift cards to help meet their essential needs. Despite the challenges of inflation, RPOU(W)’s contributions increased by 27 per cent compared to last year – a true testament to the generosity and dedication of its members.

As the unit continues its mission of providing real property services, the success of Operation Holiday Hamper 2024 stands as a shining example of what can be achieved when a committed team comes together for a common cause.

A sincere thank you to everyone who contributed. Your kindness and generosity make a real difference – not just for the families we support, but in fostering a stronger, more compassionate communities.
