(JM) Hi everyone, my name is Sgt Morin, and I am a Medical Laboratory Technologist at the health care services clinic in Edmonton, and this is the 60 seconds challenge!

(JM) First one…
"What is the coolest piece of equipment you use?”

(JM) I have to say that is the microscope because we are able to see that the smallest piece of life has bacteria, and it’s pretty cool.
"What are some of the important duties of medical laboratory professionals?”

(JM) Basically, we collect and process stool, urine and blood samples from patients that have requests from the clinician so they can be able to give a diagnoses for those patients.
“What are you grateful for?”

(JM) I am pretty grateful that I have the most amazing team here in clinic Edmonton, and also everyone is taking care of each other
“Why are medical lab professionals essential?”

(JM) Because if we are not here, clinicians won’t be able to give a diagnoses to a sick patient
“What is the favourite part of your job?”

(JM) I have to say that it is the sense of responsibility that all medical lab tech’s have, and that’s it.
