LCdr Deanna Wilson: Sorry... I'm like as if that would like…ok sorry.

Hi I'm Lieutenant Commander Deanna Wilson, I'm a Diversity and Inclusion Officer and I'm here to take the 60 Seconds challenge about the Positive Space Program.

"What does the Positive Space Program mean to me?"

It means the world, I think it's a beacon of hope in a time when we need to take care of each other so we can take care of the job.

"Why did you join the CAF?"

Honestly, I thought the Navy was the prettiest uniform and here I am.

"What is the Positive Space Program?"

The Positive Space Program is designed and built to create awareness for 2SLGBTQI+ topics and create an inclusive working environment.

"Who is your biggest role model?"

My mom, she's been deaf since a child and she overcame a lot of adversity.

"How does the Positive Space Program enhance the psycho-social work environment?"

3 themes that we stress is community, inclusion, and continuous learning, and all Defence members can learn from this. It's about human development not professional development.

"What's your favourite part about your job?"

I work with some pretty awesome people who are caring and humble and passionate and the work that we're doing in inclusion is truly unstoppable.

"Why are diversity, equity, and inclusion important at Defence?"

Diversity because we are diverse; equity, we all deserve to be treated fairly and with respect; and inclusion's the glue that keeps us all together so that we feel like we belong not just fit in.

Done. This is quite the spread, I'm glad that you told me to do this.
