Good day everyone. My name is Corporal Sébastien Lantagne. I’m an Aerospace Control Operator here in Bagotville, and I’m doing the 60 Second Challenge.

What is a day in the life of a control operator?

Pretty much we have a three shift day. Here in Bagotville, we have a morning, an afternoon, and a night. So a 24 hour shift. And from there, we have a lot of teamwork going on with the aerospace controllers, the data, and the ground controllers.

What is your favourite part of being an Operator?

Pretty much the view. So, we have the best office in Bagotville.

Camping or glamping?

Pretty much I’ll do camping just in the woods with the minimum stuff I need, and just have fun with what I have.

What is your favourite place you’ve travelled with the CAF?

I went to Iqaluit for an Exercise there.

What civilian occupations are related to the control operator trade?

So, you can do an air traffic control position on the civilian side. There is the railway control also you can do for the trains, and there is the maritime controller you can do.
