Hi, I’m Cpl Kramer with the Royal Highland Fusiliers of Canada on NOREX 25 in Resolute Bay, Nunavut, and I’m here to take the 60 Second Challenge. Let’s get into it.

Question one. What is your trade in the CAF?

So, I’m an Infanteer. My trade is basically to close with and destroy the enemy.

What is NOREX?

NOREX is an Arctic Exercise where we come up here to develop our skills and deal with the harsh conditions that are up here in the North.

Why did you join the CAF?

I joined the CAF because I wanted to build skill sets, develop as a person, and really challenge myself in becoming a better person.

How many CAF members are taking part in NOREX this year?

So, there’s around 200 people out here on the ground doing different things, different moving parts, and making sure everything operates smoothly.

Where does NOREX take place?

NOREX takes place in Resolute Bay, Nunavut.

Why is the CAF’s footprint in the Arctic so important?

So, it’s important for us to come out here and build relationships with the communities up here in the North, as well as developing our skill sets to operate in Arctic conditions, and understand the land that’s around us.
