Breakfast for dinner or dinner for breakfast?
Eggs Benedict. There's never a time clock!
Hi, my name is Julie Hollinger. I'm a programs manager at the Petawawa Military Family Resource Centre, and I'm taking the 60 Second Challenge. OK, so here we go!
What is your favorite part of your job?
I host a podcast called Military Family Life with one of my colleagues. It's an opportunity to talk to military families and find out about their lessons.
What kind of supports are offered to families of CAF members?
What supports we offer is up to you. If you'd like to just ask a question, that's cool. If you want to talk a little bit longer, come see us, we'd love to talk to you.
What always puts a smile on your face?
Coffee. Absolutely.
Are there any supports offered that you wish CAF members, and their families knew more about?
I think any of the supports. The thing that makes me sad is people who are struggling and then finding out afterwards, saying, “If only I had known, I would have called you.” So, call if you've got an issue.
Do you ever offer any supports to CAF members with pets?
Absolutely we do. For so many of us, pets are a part of our family. We've got lots of information to help you get things ready for your pet, so whoever's watching them has the information they need to make sure that they're healthy as well.
Does CFMWS offer supports to CAF members and their families even when not experiencing deployment?
Absolutely! We help with relocation, transition, any of those challenges that are unique to military family members. We want to help you with them. Just give us a shout.
And that was the 60 Second Challenge. Thanks.
