Voiceover: The Defence Team continues to make great strides towards realizing the objectives of Canada’s Defence Policy, Strong, Secure, Engaged, since it launched over two years ago.
CDS: We must maintain a credible force that can prevail in any condition that the government would have us prevail in. And the policy is pretty clear – from high end, international warfare through to ensuring that we protect Canadians here at home. All at the same time, we must be able to do that. So that’s a big responsibility that we have in the Armed Forces and we’re working very hard to try and achieve that.
DM: It’s not just a slogan, it’s not just a piece of paper we don’t refer to, it’s not another thing that just sits on a shelf, it is what guides everything…every piece of equipment we buy, every program that we put in place, we ensure that we pay attention to Strong, Secure and Engaged and that we do it and as good stewards of the Canadian taxpayers’ money.
Voiceover: Strong, Secure, Engaged. Canada’s Defence Policy.
