We have IDEaS Marketplace, which is, I have to tell you, my favorite event of the year because it brings together so many incredible innovators from across the country and to me really showcases the incredible talent that we have here in Canada. And that's our competitive advantage. That's our gem as Canadians. And it's something that we should celebrate.
We are proud of the successes that you enabled in the IDEaS program and where we've been able to not just exploit but also learn in the process.
I think if we have the right North Star through the right innovation, the right potential and opportunities, you're going to show us the way. That’s why we value this program.
What’s most interesting to me is really the direct interaction with innovators, because sometimes, as a manager, you don’t necessarily get the chance to handle the equipment or talk to people, so this is a truly unique opportunity for me.
It's just been a great opportunity to talk to, you know, a wide audience. We've got the military here, we've got other scientists, we've got people from all over and just getting those different perspectives on, you know, where we fit into the solution and, and moving these systems forward.
It has been a great success. We have had lots of people visiting us, asking questions, sharing contact information and looking for collaboration. So, it has been a successful event.
The event is really great. It’s a good place for collaboration and for meeting more people, to show them how our technology here at the University of Ottawa can be applied to solve problems.
It's really exciting to see like really strong representation from the Canadian Armed Forces, the various companies that are here and a lot of people that are really interested in talking about technology and learning more and discussing collaborations and future opportunities.
