LCol Adam MacInnis: We’re at the Armoury here in Georgetown, commemorating the Presentation of New Colours for the Lorne Scots with new Battle Honours for the War of 1812, as well as the Afghanistan War. This is a momentous day for the Lorne Scots. Colours are usually changed over every 20 to 25 years. We’ve been 32 since our last Colours, so now we’re able to have our new Colours, to be able to symbolize the Lorne Scots’ involvement in both of those new Battle Honours.
HCol Craig Hayman: For those that served in this Regiment prior, and may have been involved in 1963, at Conn Smythe’s Farm, when Colours were presented, or in the years after… This was a presentation in that tradition, and it really did the Regiment proud. I think the soldiers were fitted and outfitted, and deported in a manner that you all would be very proud of.
