Cpl Serwotka: Here on Exercise ARDENT DEFENDER, we’re testing our skills, pushing our limits, pushing the limits of our equipment, our tactics, as well as gaining knowledge from our international allies and strengthening bonds. Sometimes, getting things from a different perspective from other countries really helps us change the way that we can see that we can do things.
LCdr Richard: Improvised Explosive Devices remain a current and real threat around the world. It’s vital for our operators, as well as our intelligence gathering and forensics associated, gain the skills necessary to minimize this threat to an acceptable risk, in order to allow our Forces to keep moving forward.
Cpl Serwotka: We need to be ready for anything that comes at us. Having our limits pushed, having us think outside the box, gets us ready for that next step, and pushing ourselves into the unknown in the future.
