Hi, I’m Jen
I work for the Chief Information Officer in the Information Management Group
at the Department of National Defence.
Canada’s Defence Team is committed to being strong at home,
secure in North America,
and engaged in the world.
In the Information Management Group, we deliver the timely, trusted and secure information capabilities
to contribute to the success of the Canada’s Defence Team.
That sounds pretty important, doesn’t it?
Well, it is!
The Information Management Group is also a place where you can be you.
Let’s meet some of the people who work here.
We can start with me!
I recently graduated with a commerce degree and now I’m working as a Financial Analyst.
I enjoy riding my bike to the office
and on weekends I play volleyball with some work friends.
I’m also working with my manager to get the education I need to advance my career.
I met my friend Carole at a yoga class she teaches at work.
She’s a Systems Engineer,
and she just received an innovation award for her contribution to Canada’s search and rescue satellites.
Matthew is a Cyber Specialist who helps protect our networks and our country from online threats.
While he was on paid parental leave,
he not only spent valuable time with his newborn son,
but he also perfected his secret recipe for the office chili cook-off.
My friend Jay is a member of the Canadian Armed Forces Reserves.
During the week, he solves IT and network issues from the help desk,
and on the weekends he trains to become a medical technician in the Reserves.
We know first-hand how the right information at the right time is vital
to our ability to protect Canada and Canadians
and to respond to emergencies around the world.
And that makes me proud to be a part of the Information Management Group.
The team that provides the innovative technology for communications,
surveillance and security.
If you’re looking for a rewarding career
In support of an important cause, with an exceptional team,
We want to hear from you!
