74 years ago, Canada and its Allies founded NATO, the world's most powerful military Alliance which ensures the collective security and defense of North America and Europe.
Today, NATO is more relevant and stronger than ever. Despite being faced with increasingly complex and destabilizing threats to peace and security, NATO is united and adapts to protect against emerging challenges like cyber and space threats, disinformation, and climate change.
Safeguarding democracies, the rule of law, and the freedom of our peoples have always been at the forefront of NATO's commitments. This is why the Alliance continues to support Ukraine in the face of Russia's unjustifiable aggressions for as long as it takes. We will continue to uphold the rules-based international order.
On NATO Day, may we celebrate an Alliance that is a cornerstone for international security and the transatlantic bond. And may we honour all those who serve in NATO operations, whether on land, sea, or air, and who are essential to our collective security.
Together, we are strong.
We are resilient.
We are NATO.
