Every day, tens of thousands of Federal Public Service employees serve their fellow Canadians with pride, passion, and professionalism.
During National Public Service Week, we celebrate all they do—all you do.
At the Department of National Defence, your service takes on a special meaning.
You work side-by-side with members of the Canadian Armed Forces as they defend our values, our country, and our way of life.
Whether working on our renewed defence policy or supporting military families, you help ensure that Canadian Armed Forces members have what they need to perform at their best.
Over the past few years, you’ve worked through unexpected challenges that required our department to act quickly.
Throughout these turbulent times, you have adapted and innovated…
Continuing to serve Canadians, and striving to uphold the values of respect, integrity, stewardship, and excellence.
I want to thank each and every one of you for your important contributions to the Defence Team.
I specifically want to thank this Team for their hard work to release our renewed defence policy – Our North, Strong and Free.
Through this policy, we’re making sure we’re looking out for our people first and foremost.
Ensuring our military members are equipped to respond to this new era of global competition.
And that the civilian members of our Team can continue carrying out their duties with utmost skill and dedication.
It’s truly an honour to work with all of you to protect our beautiful country and the people who call it home.
You should be proud—every day—of the work you do to help support the Canadian Armed Forces in its critical missions at home and across the globe.
