CDS: Dear Canadians, honoured Veterans, and fellow Canadian Armed Forces members.

Today, we gather in solemn reflection to honour the sacrifices of Canada’s sailors, soldiers, and aviators.

From the First World War to Korea, the Gulf, Afghanistan, and our many UN missions, Canadian Armed Forces members have served with courage and integrity.

CWO: Faced with gruelling conflict and enormous casualties, they fought bravely and valiantly.

As time passes and as distance grows between us and those who fought the wars that contributed to shape our nation, we must remember that peace and stability were won at great cost.

CDS: This Remembrance Day, I encourage you all to seek out veterans and hear their stories.

They remind us of the undefeatable spirit and dedication of humanity.

CWO: It is up to all of us to keep their stories alive even after they are gone.

CDS: We stand on the shoulders of giants. This Remembrance Day, and every day, we will remember them.

CWO: This Remembrance Day, and every day, we will remember them.
