Who is your role model and why?

My dad. He was a soldier through and through, and loved being in the Canadian Army.

Why did you join?

I grew up in an Army family surrounded by infantry soldiers, such as my dad and uncle. That inspired me to join the Canadian Army.

What is the best part of your job?

I really enjoy the demolition range and working with explosives. I also like the teamwork when we build bridges.

What was your most memorable moment in the Canadian Armed Forces?

During Combat Engineer training to become a Sapper, when we got to experience with explosives.

What was the most difficult part of the first combat engineer training?

It was a long 18 weeks, but it was worth it. Week 9 was most difficult as we had inspection almost every day and prepared late in the evening for the Commandant’s Inspection.

What was the best part of the course?

I loved every part of it!
