CAF members are encouraged to give presentations at schools and other community organizations during Veterans’ Week 2019 (Nov 5-11) to highlight the important work they do on behalf of Canadians and as a tribute to all veterans, past and present, who have served their country.

Last year, the National Veterans’ Week Speakers Program received an unprecedented number of requests for a CAF speaker from Regular or Reserve Force member — a little over 2,600 — and filled 2,322 of those requests, reaching 667,000 Canadians.

The 2019 theme, “Faces of Freedom,” commemorates the 75^th anniversary of D-Day and the Battle of Normandy, the 75^th anniversary of the Italian Campaign, the 70^th anniversary of NATO, and the 5^th anniversary of the end of the Canadian mission in Afghanistan.
