National AccessAbility Week 2021 Disability Inclusion: Leaving no one behind

May 18, 2021 - Defence Stories

National AccessAbility Week 2021 is fast approaching and it is a time to celebrate the valuable contributions of Canadians with disabilities! We need to recognize the efforts underway across our entire federal public service - individuals, functional communities, organizations and enterprise leaders are actively removing barriers to accessibility and inclusion.

In collaboration with the Canada School of Public Service, the Office of Public Service Accessibility at Treasury Board Secretariat is hosting a virtual event to mark the occasion on June 1, 2021 titled Disability Inclusion: Leaving no one behind.

Join public servants in celebrating the anniversary of Nothing Without Us, the Accessibility Strategy for the Public Service and to hear from public servants, leaders, and distinguished guests who are working together to build an inclusive Canada for persons with disabilities. This year’s program will include discussions on allyship and removing barriers to accessibility through diverse perspectives and lived experiences so that we can all do our part in creating a diverse, inclusive and accessible public service.

Date:            June 1, 2021
