The end of this year’s National Defence Workplace Charitable Campaign (NDWCC)

Apart but together at heart

As we reach the end of this year’s National Defence Workplace Charitable Campaign (NDWCC), I am very happy to report another round of excellent results that clearly demonstrate the generosity of the Defence Team.

Thanks to our donors, aided in no small part by the work of some 500 campaign volunteers behind the scenes, a total of $2,581,172 has been raised. Every single dollar will make a significant difference to organizations making real, positive change in our communities, and in the lives of those they serve.

More than enough has been said already about the impacts of COVID-19 over the past year, but it is worth repeating that you have achieved all of this under some very challenging conditions. We all had a lot more on our minds than usual over this time, but the results of this year’s campaign show we never stopped caring about our fellow Canadians in need.

I am reminded and amazed by the entire Defence Team’s commitment to service above self.

Whether you offered your time, your money, or both: thank you. And here’s to even greater successes to come in next year’s campaign.
