Managers: Be Proactive When Submitting Actings for Summer Holidays

During the summer holidays, managers will be submitting acting requests to augment leave plans. Managers should submit acting requests as early as possible to ensure positive pay outcomes for employees.
As you plan and approve summer leave, submit short term acting’s less than four months using HR Request in GC HRMS 8.9 (accessible only on the National Defence network) to cover these leave periods. For an employee to receive acting pay for these extra duties, they must perform the full range of duties during the acting period.
