The Parade arrives on Parliament Hill in Ottawa, Ontario on May 9, 2014, to begin official ceremonies for the National Day of Honour.

The National Veterans’ Week Speakers Program (NVWSP) has launched its annual program offering learning institutions and community organizations the opportunity to hear the incredible stories of current serving members of the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF).

Educators and Community Leaders – do you want to include their stories as part of your Veterans’ Week (Nov 5-11) activities? Then visit the 2021 National Veterans’ Week Speakers Program webpage and submit your request today.

Last year, CAF speakers engaged and inspired more than 931,000 Canadians with the help of the 2020 CAF speaker videos and virtual presentations. Paying tribute to all veterans, past and present, who have served our country.

If you’re a current serving CAF member who wants to bring history to life for Canadians – then you are encouraged to volunteer. The NVWSP is looking for dynamic speakers to engage in live presentations using virtual platforms to speak directly to Canadians during Veterans’ Week.

CAF member participation is key to the program’s success.

Help remember important anniversaries such as the 105th anniversary of the Battles of the Somme and Beaumont-Hamel and 105th anniversary of the creation of the No. 2 Construction Battalion.

Information on how you can participate in the program are available online, including a CANFORGEN (accessible only on the National Defence network) and CDS Tasking Order (accessible only on the National Defence network).
