Changes to the Pay Action Request (PAR) forms

Public Services and Procurement Canada has modified the Pay Action Request (PAR) forms. The new PAR forms were introduced on October 4, 2021. Departments are receiving a grace period until November 5, 2021, at 11:59 p.m (ET), to transition into the new forms before the old versions are no longer available. During this grace period (from October 4 to November 5, 2021, 11:59 p.m. [ET]), old versions of the PAR forms will be accepted. These changes have been implemented to make PAR forms easier to complete for the Public Service Pay Centre and its clients.
The following resources have been updated as of October 4, 2021 to align with these changes:
- Departments and agencies served by the Public Service Pay Centre: A listing of departments and agencies served by the Public Service Pay Centre
- Submit a pay action request: Details on how to complete and attach a PAR form when submitting a service request to the Pay Centre.
- Understanding pay action request work types and subtypes: A table that maps work types and sub-work types to pay events.
- Pay Centre documentation requirements reference guide: A guide designed to assist employees, managers, human resources, finances and the Pay Centre, which identifies the required documentation to be sent to the Pay Centre for corresponding pay events to be processed and completed in the pay system.
