Join us for our first Mentoring Month event!
January 14, 2022 - Defence Stories
January is #MentoringMonth! This annual Mentoring Month event is open to everyone in the Defence Team; it will recognize the value of mentorship and share information about the Defence Team Mentoring Program.
At this year’s event, participants will get to hear from Samantha Moonsammy, the creator of the Lifting as you Lead Mentoring Circles Program, as well as her colleague, Theresa Graham, Diversity and Inclusion Analyst and Level 1 Advisor for Gender based Analysis Plus (GBA+). Samantha is a leader in diversity, inclusion and equity, always helping to amplify the voice of others and create sustainable change in organizations to build deeper respect and understanding for all humans. Theresa’s main interest is ethics, with experience in diversity, inclusion and GBA+. Her indigenous roots has given her a different lens through which to view diversity and inclusion.
They will be speaking on the benefits of mentoring in a virtual work environment using Lifting as you Lead Mentoring Circles (LLMC) data and the various ways you can leverage DND mentoring resources for a successful organization.
