To optimize workplace learning and boost employee performance, employees need opportunities for collaborative and practical learning. As managers/supervisors, how can we do this? Enter, Actionable Conversations (accessible only on the National Defence network) – a whole new way of looking at learning and development!

Actionable Conversations offer an innovative approach to workplace learning. They are for leaders that wish to develop or improve specific people management and leadership skills within their team such as communication, leadership, and collaboration. The exercise requires only 2 to 2.5 hours of commitment, including preparation time; perfect for a busy manager/supervisor!

As a manager/supervisor, Actionable Conversations will help you to gain credibility and confidence with your team. You will engage in a discussion of business principles and lead an informal conversation to apply this principle to a real challenge your team is facing.

Your employees will benefit from having an opportunity to get engaged, strengthen their connection with their peers, and contribute as a valued member of the team.
