Mandatory Training: Authority delegation and knowledge validation for CAF members

May 13, 2022 -  Defence Stories

The following updates the course registration information detailed at reference.

With the launch of the new Canada School of Public Service (CSPS) platform, there are changes to the Authority Delegation Training (ADT) program applicable to all CAF officers, Regular and Reserve Force, at the rank of LCOL/CDR and above, and those at the rank of MAJ/LCDR and CAPT/LT(N) in commanding officer positions.

G610 and G610-1 have been replaced by COR253 Authority Delegation Validation Assessment for Executives and COR254 Authority Delegation Revalidation Assessment for Executives.

Those completing COR 253 for the first time must also take the ADT-PRG-BUNDLE which is made up of three courses: COR152 ADT Managing People Effectively; COR451ADT Practicing Responsible Procurement; and COR250 ADT: Using Public Funds Responsibly.   Those who took the old G610 course will not have to take the new revalidation course (COR 254) until their G610 or G610-1 expires.

CAF members may create their own CSPS accounts. A gc.ca email account and service number must be used to create the account and access to the gc.ca account is required to activate the CSPS account. Members may also self-register for the ADT courses.  There is no longer a requirement for the course to be assigned by a Required Training Coordinator.

CAF members may direct questions to CAF.RegistrationRequiredTraining@forces.gc.ca.
