Check out the upcoming webinar: “The Lingering Effects of Trauma, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder”
June 19, 2023 – Defence Stories

Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is a mental health disorder that can develop in the aftermath of a traumatic event. While PTSD can develop following a single traumatic event, the relatively new diagnosis of complex post-traumatic stress disorder (C-PTSD) can emerge after long-term traumatic events or multiple traumas.
This webinar will explore both PTSD and C-PTSD, the impact of trauma on our mental health, and provide resources to support those living with the lingering affects of trauma.
In this webinar you will learn:
- The differences between PTSD and C-PTSD;
- The causes, symptoms, and misconceptions;
- Ways to support others and family members who may be suffering; and
- How to encourage others to seek support and try coping strategies.
