What: National Defence Emancipation Day Commemoration 2023

In celebration of Emancipation Day, Defence Team members are invited to join the Defence Team Champion for Visible Minorities, and other special guests on Tuesday, August 1, 2023.
This will be an opportunity to all to learn about the history of slavery and its impacts, as well as acknowledge and celebrate the strength and perseverance of Black and Indigenous communities in Canada.
This event will be featuring different speakers and cultural performances. Defence Team members will be receiving an Outlook invite containing the links to watch the live broadcasting of the event in the coming days.
