Canadian Armed Forces members: Help educate Canadians this Veterans’ Week
October 3, 2023 – Defence Stories

The National Veterans’ Week Speakers Program (NVWSP) has launched its annual program offering learning institutions and community organizations the opportunity to hear the incredible stories of current serving members of the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF).
Become a NVWSP Speaker
We are looking for dynamic speakers to engage with Canadians during Veterans’ Week (link only accessible via the DWAN), and help us remember important events, such as the 75th anniversary of UN Peacekeeping missions and the 70th anniversary of the Korean War Armistice.
We anticipate the return to in-person presentations will generate a significant increase in demand for CAF speakers, which is why the NVWSP needs CAF members from all Environments and of all ranks – officers and non-commissioned members (NCMs), French and English – from across the country to share their story with Canadians.
These presentations help Canadians – especially our country’s youth – learn more about the roles and stories of currently serving CAF members when hearing those stories directly from CAF speakers.
The NVWSP is committed to offering this experience to as many Canadians as possible and need Regular and Reserve Force members to make that happen.
Information on how you can participate in the program can be found on the NVWSP intranet site (link only accessible via the DWAN). A CANFORGEN (link only accessible via the DWAN) and CDS Tasking Order [PDF - 767KB] are now available online.
Questions can be directed to the NVWSP Coordinator via email or telephone (1-833-223-8322).
