Virtual Shout-Outs – Bulletin #35
January 26, 2024 - Defence Stories
Kickstart the new year by recognizing a colleague with a virtual shout-out!
"When an employee truly understands the meaning of their work and gets recognition for their efforts, they perform their best."
Do you know of a co-worker who deserves a special shout-out or are you looking for a way to recognize someone who has made an impact, big or small? Virtual Shout-Outs are a quick and easy way for you to publicly recognize a colleague, or team of colleagues, for a job well done.
Here’s how to submit a Virtual Shout-out:
- Email your shout-outs to the Corporate Awards and Recognition Secretariat and
- Provide the email(s) of the person(s) being recognized.
- Shout-outs are collected on an ongoing basis.
Note that shout-out recipients will be given the option to “opt out” of having their message displayed on the Bulletin Board (accessible only on the National Defence network) on the Maple Leaf and the Defence Team intranet (Accessible only on the National Defence network), and submissions can remain anonymous.
Don’t delay! Virtually shout-out your hard-working colleagues today!
Ashlee Murray took time to boost moral of the DWPS-Ops team at Carling Campus by bringing in little elves for each team. This created team building activities and lots of fun laughs in the section. Pictures were taken and shared virtually with all our other members across Canada.
Great job Ashlee. Thank you for creating a fun environment for everyone.
Jessica Valenzuela helped to establish a social activities committee for DWPS at HR-CIV. She did an amazing job at raising team spirit through numerous activities which she put a lot of heart and care into. Thank you Jessica for all your hard work in this endeavour! You did an awesome job!
I wish to express immense appreciation to the exceptional team whose unwavering dedication ensured the success of the recent Defence Leadership Symposium (DLS), attended by over 500 military and civilian executives. Your meticulous planning and outstanding teamwork were pivotal and contributed to the engagement of all who attended. From coordinating logistics to flawlessly managing guest interactions, your commitment to excellence shone through, ensuring a memorable and impactful experience for all. Your professionalism and adaptability were invaluable, and I am deeply grateful for your hard work and dedication. Thank you for being the driving force behind the resounding success of the 2023 DLS!
Mega shout-out to 2Lt Meghan Baxter who came to my rescue after an injury. Though we had never met before, she helped me get all my things together and waited an hour with me until my ride came to go to the ER. While I potentially could have (very slowly) managed on my own, having her help and company really helped me cope. Extra great of her as she was on leave so this took up her personal time.
