Level up your online safety during Cyber Security Awareness Month

September 27, 2024 - Defence Stories

October is Cyber Security Awareness Month (Cyber Month) in Canada, and the Department of National Defence (DND) and the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) are proud to be Get Cyber Safe champions, working to help Canadians stay safe online.

This year’s Cyber Month theme is Generation Cyber Safe: Because online security knows no age. Online security affects all Canadians, regardless of when they were born – which is why every generation is part of Generation Cyber Safe. This October, the Defence Team is celebrating how much stronger each generation can be when they come together to stay safe online.

You can learn more about Cyber Month on the Get Cyber Safe website and find products being released all month long on the Director of Information Management Secur Training and Awareness intranet page (accessible only on the National Defence network).

Participating as Cyber Month champions means that DND and the CAF will be engaging with Get Cyber Safe’s online campaign and sharing their expertise on cyber safety. Defence Team members are encouraged to get involved to help all Canadians get strong together as one generation. Here’s what you can do to help:
