Complete the Public Service Employee Survey!
October 29, 2024 - Defence Stories

The 2024 Public Service Employee Survey (PSES) has launched. Over the next two weeks you will receive an email invitation to complete the survey. This is a unique opportunity to share your feedback and shape improvements in the Federal Public Service, including at the Department of National Defence (DND).
Why complete the PSES?
All DND public service employees should participate and encourage others to do the same. It is your chance to provide feedback on what’s working well and where there are areas that could be improved.
The survey covers topics such as employee and organizational health, leadership, career progression, and employment equity and inclusion. It is one of the most important tools to gauge employee well-being and to inform departmental plans and decisions that impact public service employees. Managers will support employees in completing the survey during work hours.
How it works
All DND public service employees should receive an email from Statistics Canada (StatCan) with an invitation to complete the survey. The email will include a link and code that are unique to you. You can forward the survey to a personal or D365 email if you wish to complete it off the DWAN. Please do not forward or share your link with anyone else.
Employees who do not have access to the DWAN can complete the survey through the StatCan Anonymous Portal. This new web-based tool allows employees to participate in the PSES if they don’t have access to their Government of Canada email address, or if they did not receive the survey invitation. To get access to the StatCan Anonymous Portal, please call the StatCan info desk at 1-877-949-9492.
The survey is voluntary, takes only 30 minutes to complete, and is completely anonymous.
The survey will close on December 31, 2024, and departmental results will be available in the spring of 2025. Each L1 will have access to their respective aggregated results dashboard.
If you have any questions about the survey, please contact the DND PSES Team.
Have your say and complete the survey!
