The Department of National Defence (DND) has launched the digital version of the Government of Canada Workplace Accessibility Passport (the Passport). The application is available to DND Public Service employees on the TBS Applications Portal (TAP) as myAccessibleWorkplace.

The Passport helps Public Service employees facing workplace barriers document and share relevant information about those barriers, and solutions to address them. The Passport belongs to the employee, moving with them throughout their federal public service career, and helps maintain consistent workplace accommodations as the employee’s situation changes.

To access the application, employees will need to ensure they sign into the TBS Applications Portal (TAP) first. This will allow them to view the digital application: myAccessibleWorkplace . The option will only appear once they have signed in.
Employees who have already completed a Passport agreement can continue using the original Word document format if preferred. However, the digital version of the Passport available through the TAP has multiple benefits:

DND encourages all Public Service employees who need, or may benefit from, adaptive tools or support measures to complete a Passport and discuss it with their manager. Managers are encouraged to promote the Passport, to engage in open, solutions-oriented dialogue, and to promptly implement the agreed-upon solutions.
