The Defence Team’s Official Languages Champions and the Director Official Languages invite you to participate in the Official Languages Symposium, which will be held from November 17 to 21, under the theme “Artificial intelligence in support of official languages”.
Organized by the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat’s Official Languages Centre of Excellence, this week of events will bring experts and public service employees together with a common goal: to explore how artificial intelligence (AI) can contribute to a more bilingual, inclusive, and efficient public service.
The symposium will provide a unique opportunity to share best practices, foster inter-institutional collaboration, and examine innovative approaches to official languages.
The week of activities will include:
- A virtual armchair discussion on November 17 from 1:30 pm to 3 pm (EST) where senior public service employees will discuss the role of AI in promoting bilingualism and transforming the federal workplace;
- Virtual workshops and information sessions;
- Interactive discussions and exchanges of best practices; and
- A conference of federal government’s Official Languages Champions.
No matter your position or rank, this symposium is the perfect opportunity to learn, exchange, and innovate.
