Political activities and non-partisanship info sessions

The Public Service Commission (PSC) is offering virtual information sessions on political activities for federal public service employees, running now through March 2026. To join a session, register through the PSC portal. Connection details will be provided in your confirmation email.
These sessions cover your rights and responsibilities when engaging in political activities, how to assess risks to political impartiality, and how to make informed decisions before participating.
The PSC will offer three types of targeted sessions:
- Public service employees seeking candidacy: For those who wish to seek nomination or run as a candidate in an election.
- Public service employees considering political involvement: Covers activities in support of, within, or in opposition to a political party, or in support of or against a candidate (non-candidacy activities).
- Public service managers: For those managing employees who are involved in, or wish to engage in, political activities.
A minimum of 20 participants per session is required. If the minimum is not met, the session may be cancelled. In the event of a cancellation, registrants will be advised 48 hours before the session.
