The experts:

Dr. Adam Lajeunesse, St. Francis Xavier University. His expertise is on the legal and operational implications of China's Arctic presence, specifically assessing its impact on Canadian maritime sovereignty, infrastructure investment, and the practical challenges of Arctic marine security.
Dr. Marc Lanteigne, The Arctic University of Norway, Tromsø. He specializes in the diplomatic identity and normative strategies China uses to gain legitimacy as an Arctic stakeholder, examining how Beijing balances scientific diplomacy with its long-term goals in Arctic governance and regional security.
