Right to Know Week event: Enhancing government transparency

This year, Right to Know Week is taking place from September 28 to October 4. The theme this year is “Enhancing Government Transparency.”
In recognition of this week, Defence Team members are invited to a virtual event exploring the importance of government transparency as well as privacy of information.
Right to Know – Enhancing Government Transparency
Date: Monday, September 28
Time: 10 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. (EDT)
The event will be hosted virtually by the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat’s (TBS) Office of the Chief Information Officer, and includes:
- a video address from Caroline Maynard, Information Commissioner of Canada, followed by a live Q&A with members of the Office of the Information Commissioner; and
- updates from the TBS on recent developments, emerging issues, and practical considerations related to access to information and privacy.
