Minister Sajjan to travel to Berlin and Singapore

May 31, 2016 – Ottawa – National Defence / Canadian Armed Forces

Defence Minister Harjit S. Sajjan will travel to Berlin on June 1, 2016, where he will meet with German Defence Minister Ursula von der Leyen to discuss a number of security and defence issues of common interest. He will also deliver a keynote address at the annual Arthur F. Burns Fellowship Program dinner. The Arthur F. Burns Fellowship Program is a professional exchange program for future leaders of the news media, designed to foster greater understanding of North American-European affairs.

Minister Sajjan will then travel to Singapore to participate in the International Institute of Strategic Studies (IISS) Asia-Security Summit, also known as the Shangri-La Dialogue, from June 3-5, 2016. He will meet with a number of Asia-Pacific security partners and participate in a plenary session entitled “Pursuing Common Security Objectives."
